ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING

by Max Lucado

Tree Planting and Church Work Day:

Sat. November 21, 9 - 11 am

Help us cool down our parking lot with some much needed shade.  Arborists will be on hand to show us how to properly plant the trees and take care of them in the years to come.  Please wear a face mask or shield. Bring work gloves and a shovel if you have them.  Coffee, tea, and donuts will be provided!

If you don't want to plant trees, but wish to help, we need assistance with yearly cleaning and organizing.

Due to Covid-19, many regular events and groups have been canceled until further notice.  See below for current events and virtual Bible Studies.

Campfire Night (FREE!):

Sat. October 29, 5:30 - 8 pm

We'll be roasting hot dogs and marshmallows outside in our fire pit.  Food will be put on individual plates by gloved and masked volunteers and family groups will be seated six feet apart as needed.  We'll provide the food, you just bring yourself and a camp or lawn chair if you have one.  Please RSVP to umbcoffice@gmail.com.

BLOOD DRIVE

Mon. November 9, 2 - 7pm

We've partnerned with Miller-Keystone to help supply critical blood to those in need.  Sign up HERE to schedule an appointment and help save a life!

Upper Merion Baptist Church

610-265-1814

In this five-session video Bible study, bestselling author Max Lucado explores God’s treatment plan for anxiety found in Philippians 4:4–8. As you follow this prescription – celebrating God’s goodness, asking for his help, leaving your concerns with him, and meditation on good things – you will experience God’s peace. This is a peace that “transcends all understanding” and will help you reframe the way you look at your fears.

While anxiety is a part of life, it doesn’t have to dominate your life. You can talk yourself off the ledge and view bad news through the lens of God’s sovereignty. You can discover a life of calm and develop tools for combating the onslaught of anxiety.
